Entering d:, where d is a drive letter, changes the default drive to d.
FORMAT: d:
REMARKS:
d: - the letter of the drive to be made the default drive.
DOS searches the default drive for files specified in commands if you do not
specify another drive.
The DOS prompt shows which drive is the default. The prompt A> indicates
that drive A is the default drive. B> indicates that B is the default
drive.
EXAMPLE: Change the default drive from A to B:
A>b: <-- type b: and press RETURN
B> <-- response from DOS, showing B as the default drive
